With the reduction of old paturelanf colonies of this lovely once-common native wildflower are decreasing. Cowslips are perfect for a wild flower garden on moist soil and excellent for naturalizing in grass as well as under deciduoud shrubs and trees, or on the edge of woodland areas.

They provide a valueble early nectar source for bees.
