Compact plants produce tasty, purple beans - each one about 15cm (6in) long - of a slender filet-type over a long picking season. A decorative ornamental edible when planted in containers, or a few plants in the flower border.
Sow seed March to June thinly direct outside, 3cm (1in) deep in rows 45cm (18in) apart and 20cm (8in) between plants. Alternatively space sow seeds in a bucket sized container to create an attractive and productive crop.
Keep well watered during dry weather.
