Description

An ornamental grass, grown for its decorative seed heads rather than for the flowers. The pendulous flowers that are on thin stems nod in the breeze. Looks lovely in dried flower arrangements.

Sowing Info

Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 5mm (1/8in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Autumn sowings will germinate the following spring.

Growing Info

When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 20-30cm (8-12in) apart. Keep well watered. Prefers a sunny position with a welldrained soil. Will tolerate most soil types.
