A superb Spring Onion for cropping most of the year, this variety resists bolting so can be left in the ground for longer periods than most other varieties. September sowings can be overwintered for early spring harvesting.
Sowing Info
Sow seed thinly, 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially during dry periods.
Growing Info
Thin out seedlings to 13mm (½in ) apart, the thinnings can be used in salads. Harvest from 8-9 weeks after sowing. Harvest May to October from March to July sowings or harvest March from a September sowing.
