Try honeyberries for an unusual fruit to add to your five a day!
These sweet blueberry-like fruits have been eaten for years in their native Siberia, and can be enjoyed straight from the bush, or baked in jams, pies and muffins. The sweet
taste is similar to that of blueberries, with a slight aftertaste of honey. They are high in antioxidants too! The oval blackblue honeyberries begin to ripen in early June, in the first or second year after planting. This exceptionally hardy shrub is long lived and easy to grow, producing more delicious berries year upon year.
Planting two plants together will increase the yield.
