Reliable, heavy cropping onion sets. An extremely popular Japanese over-wintering variety, reliably producing a heavy crop of semi-globe-shaped, straw-coloured bulbs of excellent quality, which should be ready to harvest in early July.
I find this a great and reliable onion for overwintering! Hasn’t let me down so far!? Always a quality onion once grown, great for storing; I usually harvest in June and finish the last from storage by December.
I grow this onoion in my polytunnel with great success. I sow them in November and harvest them as early as mid May some years
