One of the finest early crocuses, producing rich violet-purple flowers with a striking golden-orange throat. Flowering when little else is in bloom, it provides valuable early colour and nectar for pollinating bees. Ideal for rockeries, borders, containers and naturalising. Flowers February–March. Height 10–12cm.
