too early to tell
Ordered on line, and these and my french garlic arrived quickly. All now planted, but wont be able to offer a decent review until summer 2014 when they are ready to use...fingers crossed.

Onion Electric Really Delivers
I planted about 20-25 of these red onions throughout October and the 1st week in November 2012. I had not grown overwintered onions before and was a little worried about the success rate. No need - they were really easy to care for during the winter and once the spring arrived, they really flourished. I started harvesting them in early June 2013 as the spring weather was a bit gloomy. Wow, these are really beautiful onions - nice and firm, lovely glossy outer skin. They all dried out really well for me and are now in storage in our shed for whenever I need them. Their flavour is lovely, zero blemishes and so far, are storing really well. Tasted great in my red onion marmalade too!
