Often sought by plant collectors. The unusual maroon-red, occasionally bronze-green foliage with contrasting blushed pink flower spikes, adds late summer colour to borders.

Sowing Info

Sow seed in pots on the surface of the compost. Lightly cover seed with vermiculite or compost. Place pots in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag and place at 15-21C (59-70F) until after germination.

Growing Info

Transplant seedlings into pots when large enough to handle. Plant out after all risk of frost.
