A truly great climber that will twist and turn around  anything. ‘Prolific’ is a deciduous, twining shrub with fresh-green pinnate leaves. It is so named because of its abundant, full flowers produced on bare stems in spring. The flowers are blue-violet, highly scented, in drooping racemes and pea-like, often produced in the first or second year after planting by far the best and easiest to flower variety.
