Grows up to 60-90 cm tall with a beautiful display of racemes of greenish-white, pendent, bell-shaped flowers that delicately turn into a creamy ivory as they mature. A beautiful display that is complimented by the black Fritillaria persica .
Blooming occurs in mid to late spring. Plant in the right conditions and they often continue to flower year after year.
Plant in fall in a full sun area in organically rich, moist but well-drained soil for best results. The soil must drain quickly and thoroughly; heavy soil will benefit from addition of extra sharp sand. Spectacular in groupings in beds, borders, rock gardens or naturalized areas.

Fritillaria Ivory Bells
I bought these as a present. They are planted in Autumn, the idea being that given the Summer is over, they are something new and beautiful to plant in anticipation of brighter days to come. The unusual habit of changing colour and the height of this Fritillaria made it a very welcome present (coming in four bulbs). They were planted at the front of the border to be seen from inside the house to lift the spirits with the freshness of the greens and elegant shape.
