Description

Narcissus ‘Gay Time’ is an exuberant double daffodil with beautifully ruffled flowers that bring a completely different appearance to traditional spring bulb planting.

The blooms combine creamy-white petals with warm yellow and orange tones through the centre creating a richly layered flower with plenty of colour and texture.

It is particularly effective planted in generous groups through borders, where the individual flowers can be appreciated at relatively close range. It also makes a lovely cut flower for spring arrangements.

Why We Chose It

Gay Time offers something genuinely different. Its multi-layered flowers and attractive combination of cream, yellow and warm orange add variety to a large daffodil planting.

Mr Middleton Verdict

A daffodil worth getting close to. Gay Time has so much detail in each flower that it deserves a position near a path, patio or the front of a border.

Garden Designer’s Tip

Use Gay Time with white narcissi and pale spring tulips for an elegant scheme or combine it with stronger orange tulips to bring out the warmer tones in its centre.
