Narcissus ‘Golden Anniversary’ is a wonderfully appropriate name for a daffodil that produces a rich celebration of spring colour.
Strong, reliable and ideal for planting in quantity, Golden Anniversary is particularly effective when planted in generous groups through lawns, orchards, borders and naturalised areas.
Its golden spring flowers provide excellent visibility from a distance, making it a particularly useful choice for larger gardens and landscape schemes.
Plant once, allow the bulbs to establish undisturbed and they can provide a returning display for many years.
Why We Chose It
Golden Anniversary combines strong garden performance with the traditional golden colouring gardeners expect from a great daffodil. It is particularly impressive when planted in substantial numbers.
Mr Middleton Verdict
A wonderfully cheerful variety that deserves to be planted generously. For a real celebration of spring, plant Golden Anniversary in large sweeping groups.
Garden Designer’s Tip
Use Golden Anniversary where it can be seen from the house during the colder days of early spring. Planting beneath deciduous trees is particularly effective because the bulbs can enjoy good light before the trees develop their full canopy.

· Soil: Most reasonably well-drained garden soils
· Planting depth: Approximately 10–15cm

Plant bulbs with the pointed end upwards. Water after planting if conditions are particularly dry.
For large-scale naturalising in grass, lift sections of turf, plant beneath and replace the turf, or use a bulb planter for individual bulbs.
For stronger growth and flowering, apply Mr Middleton Seaweed Feed when planting and again as growth develops in early spring.
After flowering, leave the foliage in place until it has completely yellowed. Avoid tying or folding the leaves, as healthy foliage is essential for building up the bulb for the following year's flowers.
