Description

Narcissus ‘Tahiti’ is one of the most striking double daffodils for the spring garden. Its large, richly coloured flowers combine golden-yellow petals with vivid orange-red segments through the centre, creating a warm, almost tropical effect.

The substantial double blooms make Tahiti an excellent choice for prominent borders, large spring displays and cutting gardens. Planted in quantity, the mixture of gold and fiery orange creates tremendous impact.

Tahiti is also a valuable variety for cutting. A few stems make an impressive indoor arrangement, while leaving plenty of flowers outside to brighten the garden.

Why We Chose It

Tahiti is immediately recognisable. The combination of large double flowers, rich golden colouring and flashes of orange-red gives it considerably more impact than an ordinary yellow daffodil.

Mr Middleton Verdict

One of the great double daffodils. Tahiti is big, colourful and impossible to ignore. If you want a daffodil that makes a statement, plant it in generous groups.

Garden Designer’s Tip

The orange-red centre works beautifully with tulips in shades of orange, bronze, burgundy and deep purple. Repeat small groups of Tahiti through a border to link these stronger colours together.
