For a softer and more sophisticated spring colour combination, Narcissus ‘Delnashaugh’ is an outstanding double daffodil.
Its large, luxurious flowers combine creamy-white outer petals with beautifully ruffled peachy-pink to apricot tones at the centre. The effect is very different from traditional yellow daffodils and makes Delnashaugh particularly valuable for carefully designed borders and more refined planting schemes.
Planted in generous groups, the flowers create a wonderful pastel display and combine exceptionally well with pink, burgundy, white and purple spring bulbs.
Why We Chose It
Delnashaugh has the sort of colouring that immediately sets it apart. The combination of cream and soft peach-pink makes it one of the most distinctive double narcissi in the range.
Mr Middleton Verdict
A beautiful daffodil for anyone who thinks daffodils have to be yellow.Delnashaugh is luxurious, unusual and particularly impressive when planted where you can appreciate the individual flowers.
Garden Designer’s Tip
Pair Delnashaugh with dusky pink or burgundy tulips and dark purple Muscari. The darker companion colours make its creamy petals and peach-pink centre appear even more delicate.
